Tiny Teen Wolf Cast

Inspired by the weird and wonderful misadventures of Twitter's favorite adorable thing, @tiny_hannibal, I've decided to turn the cast of Teen Wolf into tiny-fied versions of themselves. Here they are!

On the left, we have Lydia, Stiles, Liam, and Malia. Down the middle are Derek, Scott, and Jackson. And on the right, of course, are Allison, Isaac, Danny, and Kira.

Whew - that was fun to draw. Now back to writing and/or random tweeting! :D

Generation Icarus: Hawk and Kestrel

I promised Jess Pawley a bit of fanart for her amazing Generation Icarus series, soon to be available in its entirety on Wattpad for the first time! Now, to celebrate, I've made a fanart of Hawk and Kestrel, based on a scene from the third book in the series, Third Time Lucky.

I admit, I may have flubbed up on the bodies a bit - Kess looks a lot smaller than Hawk, but she's also a tad bit further into the background. And as for Hawk's arm - well, it was originally outstretched, but that looked ridiculous. And let's just say I suck at drawing crossed legs...but at least they're recognizable, right? :)

Enjoy! :D

Ignatius The Salamander

Having finally started reading the first book in the Summoner series by Taran Matharu, I decided the world needed some fanart of Fletcher's impish little demon. So I polished off this quick and dirty sketch of Ignatius.

In my interpretation, he's built a little like the Gekko Metal Heads from Jak 3 (the part about the long, loping legs, as mentioned in the book's bestiary - NOT "bestiality!" Get it right or Stiles will hate you forever! - sold that for me), with a few touches of Toothless, and also the yellow-spotted lizards from Holes. Also, I thought it would be cool for him to have these markings on either side of his spine, like where his ancestors would have had little mini-dragon wings. And in this image, he's climbing a wall - probably so he can execute a little sneak attack. :)

Although I'm not gonna be concentrating too much on sketch work over the summer - especially not with heat like I'm experiencing today! - I might just put out some more sketches of other types of demons, most notably the Canids, Felids, Vulpids, Lycans...the ones I would have trouble deciding which one I'd want to have the most, basically. :)

Two Self-Aware Zombies - Can They Love?

A recent episode of the amazing little horror-comedy-mystery-drama iZombie had its main character, self-aware zombie Liv, in an outfit shockingly reminiscent of that of R from Warm Bodies. With that in mind, I sought R and Liv crossover fanart, and found a few. Then I was sufficiently inspired to make one of my own.

Full disclosure - I don't actually ship R and Liv. But you gotta admit, they're too damn adorable together. :D

Next up - Demyx and Chappie sharing page space. Why? Why not?

Deadpool Syndrome: Now Who Are These Two?

I've been sitting on this drawing for a while, waiting for the opportune moment to unveil it. Now that Chapter 22 of Deadpool Syndrome has used those lines in the caption, the opportune moment has come. The identities of the two adorkable types in this drawing, however, are known only to myself and Angel for now. I promise, though - they will be revealed to all by the end of DS1.

Have fun with the guesswork, mes amis! :D

Sleepy Hollow: You Never Forget Your First Time

In honor of the recent third-season renewal of Sleepy Hollow, I've made a fancomic of one of my favorite moments from the show - the scene where Ichabod has his first espresso.

As an Italian (quarter-Italian, anyway) and avid espresso drinker, I'm offended by his initial statement. But then when he changes his tune...uh-huh, that's much more like it! :D

I'm on spring break for the next week, which also means my drawings will be on hiatus. I promise, there will be a fresh sketch of one of my characters by April Fool's Day, though! :D

Night Shift: Daniel and Mary

The amazing B.R. Myers cannot seem to get her wild and crazy and amazing Night Shift Trilogy published and sold in bookstores all over the world like it deserves. (There's a reason why, in the Red Rain and Dark Ice Chronicles 'verse, it's been published officially so Alex, Fionna, Jay, Evan, etc. don't have to go to Wattpad in order to read it. Sometimes, fiction is better than reality.)

But, for now, it's available on Wattpad for all to read. The first two books (Night Shift and Black Friday) are finished, with the third, Final Sale, now in progress. And, in celebration of the beginning of the end of this series, I have created what may be the world's first-ever fanart of Myers' lead characters, Daniel and Mary.

In one hand, they each hold one of the Willard's keys. In the other hand, invisible to the viewer, they each hold a chocolate.

Also, with apologies to Ms. Myers - while I went back to the first book to make sure I got the details of Mary's appearance right, I apparently failed to notice she'd added a cast list to her story, with Emily Browning as Mary. I, however, modeled my version of Mary on Teresa Palmer.

Enjoy! Next up, the boys of Deadpool Syndrome - Peter, Clint, Tony, Steve, Hiro, Tadashi, and of course Baymax. :D

Phoenix13: Jason McKinley

As promised to my fellow Wattpadder Kewona Wolf, I have created a fanart of her character Jason McKinley. Here he is, in all his futuristic, pop-culture-spewing glory:

Yeah, he's supposed to be blond. That's the real problem with having only plain old No. 2 pencils to draw with. And I actually did this while watching Helix the other night - which may explain my lack of nightmares as a result. :)

Deadpool Syndrome: Gwen Stacy

Peter won't be alone on DeviantArt for very long: here's Gwen to keep him company!

I think the best part of this drawing is her hair. Which was actually a pain to get right - a guy mistook her for MJ at first, because he thought her hair was darker than its usual blonde.

But hey, she's drawn up a hell of a lot more beautifully than I thought I could do. :)

Now, I promised a Spider-Gwen drawing next (that is, Peter and Gwen), but I've got a couple of Wattpad friends for whom I've decided to do fanarts instead. So the current schedule is thus: Jason from Phoenix13 (by Kewona Wolf), followed by Connor from The Night Has Teeth (by Kat Kruger), then Peter and Gwen. Hope that's good for everyone! And don't forget, requests are highly appreciated! :D

Deadpool Syndrome: Peter Parker

This is the first in my Deadpool Syndrome fanart series. And who better to start with than everyone's favorite Ol' Webhead out of costume?

There are two things I learned from drawing this one:

1) I suck at perspective drawing.
2) While the sketch was being done, I asked someone which famous character was being represented, and she thought I was doing a self-portrait. I had such a laugh at that one...XD I guess while I certainly can't draw Peter looking as good as he does in the movies (as my best friend said, and I'm paraphrasing here, "Nobody looks as good as that boy Andrew Garfield!"), I'm at least doing something right, because he looks like an actual person!

Next up, Gwen Stacy, followed by a Spider-Gwen sketch! :D
